What a ridiculous issue. First off, the Chinese fly satellites over us several times daily. We know where they are and when they pass over. And they have TikTok.

Then they are slow and obvious. The Air Force has enough time to cover anything they don’t want the Chinese to see. They could line up their personnel on the Tarmac and collectively moon them. It is such an inefficient way of collecting data that one has to wonder why they used it. Are their satellites not good enough?

I think they are just trolling us.

Like other MAGA/Nazis in Congress, maybe “Lisa” would also prefer our troops be like Russian soldiers, while palling around with autocratic dictators.

It’s sickeningly stupid how the (expletive) so-called “Republicans” scream in conniptions about how our military and security services suddenly and automagically turn into wusses when a Democrat is President.

Why didn’t Lyin’ Lisa pitch a hissy fit over the 3, COUNT EM’ 3 Balloons that crossed U.S. Airspace while TFG was out playing golf and scarfing down Hamberders???

It gathered no intelligence, was shot down where nobody could get hurt, and we recovered the hardware, which means WE got to spy on THEM.

We’ve had satellites for decades that monitor China’ air space. We knew when the balloon, like all the rest – and anything else – , was launched. We tracked it and then, when it entered our air space, blocked any signals via satellite it could send. Those who monitor the satellites inform the appropriate agencies, military, intel, Homeland Security, etc. The White House is also informed. POTUS is usually only briefed if the object demonstrates a threat, whether physical or an attempted transmission of any data. A decision is made and implemented.

The media is sometimes not very bright, some have an agenda. But particularly those in the Senate and House who do know better and have attempted to make something more of the balloon than it was, are lying to the American Public, again.

The president really wanted to shoot it down sooner, we’re told, but the Pentagon held Fightin’ Joe back. If it were up to him, China’s eye in the sky would have been shut down for good the moment we detected it. And to leak stories about purported Trump-era incursions is a shameful abuse of authority.

If these earlier incidents, and the story of how they were found out, are really so sensitive, Biden officials should not be tantalizing the press with these tales just to make the boss look better.-NYP

With Military and Diplomatic Incompetence like this on display for the entire world to see, we really shouldn’t be pushing Nuclear Brinksmanship over Ukraine.

All this propaganda coming from those that do not understand the electronic communications capabilities of the balloon’s array was easily disabled with one flyby of an electronic warfare aircraft. Then brought down, still within our airspace, when the safety of American citizens and property would not be compromised.
