Good luck with the strip.
Love the concept! Been following you for awhile now.
Thank you! I’m happy to be here! I love your comics too Tom!
My husband and I lived in Japan for six years, so I was really happy to find your strip!
Japan has always fascinated me. Hope to get there someday.
Looks like a good strip. Added to my queue.
Looks promising, good luck!
Finding out what it’s like to be a minority person is one of the things I learned in Japan.
Welcome Karl and family!
Good luck, Khalid!
Pretty good art – good luck…Will there be an occasional inclusion of black string bikinis?
Let’s hope that Karl doesn’t turn out to be Calvin and Ryan isn’t Moe.
Looks good! Look forward to reading you. Now going to your web site and see if any catching up to do
Welcome to the GoComics family! Can’t wait to see where this goes :)
Thank you all!
Wow, you don’t see this many “PRO” people commenting on a strip at once…
I’ll give it a try. Looks like I could be a fun ride.
I disagree with SWR’s comment. I’ve lived in Japan since 1975. I am a minority since I’m not Asian. But the Japanese (for the most part) like the challenge of dealing with a “gaijin” (foreigner). And while skin color does make something of a difference, the Japanese seem more interested in the cultural differences. Like the young boy (about 10 I’d say) who asked me in Japanese: “elder brother, please open this for me”. He had a can of soft drink with a pull tab on it. Don’t forget, non-Japanese Asians are considered Gaijin too so Khalid’s family isn’t as much a minority as it would seem. And more to the point, you can have a great time here. Good luck and best wishes to you and your family Khalid.
good luck with the strip.
Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy your stay!
Woohoo! Love this!
Nice comic, will add it my list. You think its that way in Japan I know towns in Texas where African Americans are a minority to the extreme. An old town I worked back in West Texas had on Black family. Just one. He was a great guy and a ball to be around. When the Rodney King thing happened he said “Well I guess you cops (there were only two of us in the town) are going to surround my house to make sure I don’t get all uppity.” I said “Well I will get the beef if you do the BBQ.” We had a big town BBQ feast. I do miss the old fella…..he could sure cook and did raise a great family.
When does this strip appear in gocomics.com ?
I’d like to see more. :)
