Brad: "What're you doing, Toni?" Toni: "Looking at wedding planning websites. I found a list of things to do before 'I do" Toni: "Ready for this? To plan our wedding, we have 228 decisions to make" Brad: "Well, I've already made one decision: I vow to love you for the rest of my life" Toni: "That's very sweet, Brad. But you still have to help on the other 227" Brad: "What if I vow not to interfere with wedding plans? Would that count as helping?"
I was in Vietnam. My future wife (and her mother) planned it all. I merely had to show up, sign the wedding license, say “I do” in front of the preacher and guests and kiss the bride. All on the same day I got off the airplane after my second tour of Vietnam. She was a keeper. We had twenty-two good years together and three great kids before the black camel knelt at the door and she had to leave us.
