Ugh. This reminds of whenever I have to help my mom parallel park downtown . . . it pretty much turns into a spectacle as passerbys stop and watch as I help guide her into manuevering her car into the space along the sidewalk.
When my family (father, mother, older brother, and myself) moved from Clallam County, Washington to Lewis County back in 1992, we had a moving truck. When backing out of the property’d front lawn, we hit a rock and badly dented an axle. So he hired a tow truck to take the moving truck to our new home.
So Les went from high school to being a charter of the Teamsters? Did Mister Gray have something to do with that? And by the way, where is Jimmy Hoffa?
Coming Saturday: Les slacks off while the others unload stuff from the truck into the mansion. Perhaps he’ll find a way to pretend he’s been working hard right about the time Tiff reaches for her purse, wallet, or checkbook.
Looks like Tiff made it to the mansion without any issues. Les should just leave. We know he’s not going to help unload anything with his “bad back”. I wonder long we’ll have to wait til the event of the summer…. the Bets & Tiff live streamed pool party!
Les is that guy on the undergraduate school group project who merely repeats info on the syllabus and what the professor has said in class, then acts like he’s making meaningful contributions. When the project is finished, he will tell everyone that he pretty much did it all on his own.
Yesterday’s deluge of car buff commenters sounded like they had gone to the annual Woodward Ave. Dream Cruise in Royal Oak, Mi., or maybe Jay Leno’s garage.
Just guessing: “easy hammer” may mean easy on the gas. The opposite of put the hammer down. Skins are tires. So “turn the wheels (tires) hard left and go slow?”
When I regularly pulled a horse trailer behind my pickup, me would always think that they needed to ‘help’ me back up. Finally, the locals at the horse shows found out that I didn’t need their help without my telling them.
What could be a game changer. Tom Farrel decided to downscale and has sold the house “as is” junk included. He has a new, luxury condo just down the road from Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. All of the college clutter will be transferred to Sanford and Son’s Bargain Storage facility. Will hilarity ensue?
Yeah, I’ve had people like Les give me directions when I was backing a truck— using gestures they’d made i up p themselves, and hadn’t explained to me. All the time, you just want to tell them to move out of the way.
Gunther is smart. He’s speaking a language Tiff can understand. My husband and I had a car trailer we used for many years. I’ve guided him into many a tight spot and I have NO IDEA what the heck Leslie is talking about. I always kept my directions simple and to the point. Worked every time.
I like the way Gunther has become more confident. He isn’t buying into any of Les" nonsense. Les reminds me of so many young people I have met who just simply don’t know how to work and have no work ethic, which is odd, because he obviously pulls his weight at the restaurant.
He’s a kid whio has had some hard knocks with his grifter-felon mom. and his apparently dead father. He is getting better being in Luannverse, which seems to polish off the rpugh edges off its main characters over time. buthe has a long way to go.
Cute! Directions look impressive, if factual. Doubt Tiffany understands them. Gunther simplified this, but his loading procedure was complicated? Will the rest of the gang show up for the unload and storage? Or “is this all there is” and will they “keep on dancing”? Lol!
Contrary to what many were saying yesterday, Tiff had no problem driving the van home without an accident! By the way, where is Bets as she arranged for the van?
I guess that means all the way left but just a little gas? If that’s true Tiff is waaaay off the mark. She needs to pull forward and straighten the rig up so she’s ready to back up and she only needs to make small corrections.

Good job, Gunth.
You just saved Tiffany from plowing into that garage door due to Les’ inept “directions.”
Now if Knox really wants to “help,” he can pay for filling that van’s gas tank before it’s returned to the rental.

Tiffany has some supportive friends around her. Even when her father isn’t emotionally supportive. Pretty cool.

Isn’t it sort of ironic that the Nerd from Pitts is the only one with a steady love interest?

In just a single strip, Gunther proves he understands Tiffany a hundred times better than Les will ever be able to understand.
