Don’t involve me in the madness

I know what Luann’s question was! Should I drop this community college scene and go to the university where I can be with my old friends, Tiffany and Gunther? Frank’s answer: I never thought you would ask. Of course, my dear daughter.

No, Luann actually asked her question. It was: “Ready?”

Didn’t Greg do a variation of this “joke” only a few weeks ago?

Because with a build-up like that, he doesn’t want to talk about it. Whatever it is.

Luann should really move out of her parents’ home before she becomes another Gunther.

Frank knows his daughter really well. But as funny as the way he does it is, I’m kind of disappointed that he wants to avoid answering a question from Luann.

The question is “Ready” and the answer is “No!”.

Dad’s first clue was her statement, “there’s no real right or wrong”. “Oops”, he thinks, “a sex question”. So “No” .

OK!

Either the instructions weren’t clear, which they were not, or Frank was anticipating the question and already answering “no”.

I think there’s something off with Luann, considering that she always wants definite answers and very specific instructions.

I don’t think she even asked a question

“You are demanding a yes or no answer to a question that, before you even ask it, you tell me doesn’t have a yes or no answer. I hear you just fine. Do you bother listening to yourself?”

For Pete’s Sake, Lu-Lu!

Don’t beat around the bush.

Just come right out and ask your dad if you can get a “tramp-stamp.”

Better yet, first ask your dad if he’ll PAY for your tattoo.

That way, Frank will YELL “NO WAY I’M PAYING FOR YOU TO GET A TATOO! IF YOU WANT ONE, PAY FOR YOURSELF!!!”

Now chop-chop, before Nancy finds out. ;-)

Uhh, LuAnn missed her dad’s answer to the question that hadn’t and didn’t need to be asked. Frank has learned, like most dads, that these long lead ins are followed with a questions to which they will answer’ No’ to. Therefore his ‘No’ doesn’t require the question to be stated. Now, back to the newspaper!

Sure, I can make a decision. Can you live with it? I need an answer now.

Never ask a question unless your prepared for both answers.

Hopefully it’s not “Do these clothes make my butt look big?”

Frank isn’t in the mood to deal with one of Luann’s serious questions, and, probably neither is Nancy.

Once again, Lu looks like a foolish child. I want her to just get to be the star One. Time. The one who gets the guy. Says the intelligent thing. Is a voice of reason. Helps someone in a good way. I know it’s a comic and hilarity must always ensue, but geeze….

Why does Luann always play games with her father? She always approaches him in the most stupid way. This time she says she has a serious question, but then she implies that he could be wishy-washy answering. I’m with Frank on this one, after that kind of an intro, nothing she asks would be getting a “yes” answer from me (not unless the questions is “should I clean my room today”).

No is always the safe answer.

You got what you asked for.

She asked for a definitive answer, and she got one!

I’m pretty sure “no” was the answer to her question before she asked it. A preface like that usually has a “no” for an answer.
