I’ve heard them called post-it notes, and I’ve heard them called sticky notes, but I’ve never heard them called postie notes. Does anybody call them stick-it notes? I feel like this whole thing’s a sticky wicket. Stick it, Wicky!
I keep pairs of OTC cheaters in each car and two pair in my flight bag. Also, I can’t hang onto a sharpie to save my life. On the upside, Sharpei’s are easy to hang onto, because of the loose skin. Don’t mind me, I’m just silly.
Until I had cataract surgery I needed glasses every waking of the day. I always knew exactly where they were – - on my nose. Since surgery I don’t NEED glasses but I prefer them for driving and occasionally reading, but even them I always put them in the same place so I know where they are. If Nancy can’t remember where she put them, sounds like dementia.
We gave my mother a giant pack of phone chargers for Christmas and she couldn’t find one the last time we were over. My husband went on a hunt and retrieved five from various locations. You would think at least one end would be stuck to some source of electricity but no. One was in the sock drawer.
I’ve just bought my sister a glasses holder in the shape of an owl (she likes owls) a couple of those around the house helps a lot. Plus I put my glasses in the sink when I shower. Otherwise it’s a case of needing glasses to find my glasses…..
Ah, the joys of being a newbie with reading glasses. Wait until you walk all over the house looking for them, Nancy, and then discover they’re on top of your head.
Man tomorrow, I’m gonna go out an buy a coupla spare cars, a few spare tractors, a few spare lawnmowers, some lawn edge trimmers, an a couple of spare sickle bars. Mebbe even a spare pole barn or two. But no spare wives. One’s enough an I dont wanna get beat up by the one I allready got
You gotta get the granny glasses necklace. I’ve trying to talk my wife into one for years because she keeps losing hers. Despite having so many pairs! But she doesn’t want to look like a granny….
Readers? (I can’t read without them)A pair in my shirt pocket, at the computer, next to the bed, in the glove box of the car (spare) and a couple of spares in the bed room and another in my travel bag.
“Postie notes” sounds so fake. I know they wanna avoid mentioning brand names, but this feels like when people in TV shows go on “FaceSpace” and do a “Dooglesearch”.
My prescription bifocals are only used in the den where the TV is. The rest of the house has cheap readers. I do have some extra powerful readers just for choir.
I have two pairs of glasses, one I use and a spare in my van. The one I use is either on my desk, on the night stand or on me. My wife has about a dozen pairs of cheap reading glasses.
You have one specific place where each item is located and you start out when you move to a new house with all of them in that place. Then, when you need one somewhere else you either
1] return it to that place
2} realize that you will be using it in the spot where you took it pretty often, so leave it there.3] When the stock pile in the assigned location runs out of items, buy more and put them there
Add “Post-It Notes” to the name brands that some cartoonists think need to be replaced with a more generic-sounding name out of fear of trademark infringement. Somebody needs to post this on Facegram.
If the lenses of the glasses I use didn’t cost what they cost, I would like to have many glasses placed where I need. It’s always fun to see things starting piling up and become a shopping list, maybe they should all go to the supermarket together. They would return with the car full of stuff.
i have drugstore reading glasses. i have them everywhere.
the only thing i carry around from place to place is my cellphone and glucometer. i very seldom use my glucometer since i have a cgm, but i have it with me if i need to use it.
If Nancy has prescription glasses the price of buying multiple pairs would answer her question. Once I started wearing progressive lenses I couldn’t even afford a second pair or prescription sunglasses.
Frank’s dialogue in panel one is just WEIRD. It makes absolutely no sense at all. Has Frank developed dimentia? According to him, with a “many pairs of glasses” plan, they are going to need scissors, paper towels, pencils and post its. I don’t get it. I don’t see the connection. It’s stupid.
I try to leave things like wallets, keys, eyeglasses, etc. in certain places to know where to find them. Of course, that plan only works when they are consistently put in their designated location! Putting them anywhere else results in a frantic search, even if they are plainly visible. ;-p
Greg has drawn what seems to be a 1950s-look “clip art” of a man and a woman in a roadster (the woman is driving). The man says “Is this a brand-new LUANN by Greg Evans?” and the woman answers “Yup”.
When the doctors hospitalized my grandfather for respiratory issues + Primatene Mist addiction my uncle found about a dozen bottles stashed in various locations throughout the house.
I hate to tell you this, but the “many where I need them” doesn’t work either. My mom has several pairs of reading glasses so she can put them in several places. There are two scenarios that ALWAYS happens. Either all the glasses end up in the car or in her bedroom. So when she’s home, she has to go outside to the car to get a pair. And when she’s out, the glasses are on her bed and she can’t read anything.

This was a nice strip…the whole family getting along and a relatable topic with a funny ending. (We all know where the snacks are, though.)

Oh fer Pete’s Sake, Nancy!
The World’s going to Hell-o in a hand-basket and YOU are “worried” about…….,
(Sigh) Okay, I’ll fix this: “Rock, Paper, Scissors.”
There. Get a bunch of rocks and call it a day. It’ll be cheaper.
Besides. Have you looked up the cost of eyeglasses lately?? ;-)

I keep scissors all over the house, but when I need a pair, can I find them? Noooo.
