Nothing brings a family together like watching a little Barney The Dinosaur. ;)

Like I said, it seems like even in a situation such as this, both Luann and Bernice still have designs on Piro. Meanwhile, I think most of us could also agree that Alan may have some puppy love going on for Luann.

My question on Sarurday was “where do we go from here” implying there was no where to go. I was wrong. Also it looks like Bernice has got it bad for Piro, the troubled fixup man. Boy, is she needy.

Barney? I haven’t watched The Flintstones in ages!

Years ago one of th cooling fans in Barney’s suit shorted out and smoked causin the actor inside to suffer from smoke inhalation. When it came on th news, kids that were watching were traumatized because they thougt their favorite purple dinosauer burned up

Trying to keep up with the Jones comes with a cost.

Maybe they are watching “How I Met Your Mother” there’s a Barney in that series too…..given all the fathers that “met” Piro’s mother.

I bet that Alan is a step-sibling, not blood relative.

Bernice thought she was leaving the kids to Luann – and she ended up with them instead. Today’s a big irony day; there’s irony at FBOFW, too…

Maybe Greg is going back to younger kids where he is more comfortable than he is with the 19 and 20 year olds. Luann and Bernice in an upscale day care. It would provide the structure that they lost when they graduated from high school.

Gee, Bernice… Could you look even less thrilled than you do now?

Well, unlike a certain other “kid” in this Strip, these “kids” haven’t DESTROYED anything yet.

So I’ll give them points for THAT. ;-)

Who watches Barney anymore?

They are clearly watching The Expendables with Barney Ross.

Selfish, selfish Bernice…

That got Bernice’s attention, but in a way she hates.

Bernice really has a low tolerance for children if she needs a break when the one who has been with them all time is Luann. It’s funny that the old lie she told Piro keeps coming back to bite her. In the meantime the children have taken a liking to her and I think Alan will talk to Luann, describing his family’s life.

My paternal grandmother and aunts/uncles were not kid friendly at all. They were of the mind that kids should be not seen nor heard. Going to visit was like visiting the Doctor’s office or the Dentist. We did have maternal grandparents who adored us but lived 7hrs away in Queens.

Bernice is turning out to be less and less of a catch, while Luanne is becoming the more rounded one.B doesnt seem to like kids and is self absorbed, L is helpful and friendly w kids. Who’d make the better wife here?

I guess this disproves the idea that Bernice had gotten over Piro. Though it’s rather sad that she only regained interest in him after finding out Luann liked him too.

I was wondering why Bernice was looking so glum about watching a movie. Then I saw the “Hey, Barney.” Oh yeah.

I feel a future Cat lady in the making for Bernice.

Bernice is all talk.

Bernice is not destined to be “the fun auntie”.

I think Piro should get some credit here for how well behaved these children are when they have clearly been raised in a chaotic situation. They’re far better adjusted than Shannon, who has her father, Brad and Toni raising her.

“I need a kid break”

The lament of many parents.

Too bad Bernice and Luann are still competing for Piro. Even though he says Bernice is the only person he can count on, saying “she likes movies” is just a generic comment.

Bernice, if you are going to have an actual relationship with a family man you need to get to know his family. Because they are a big part of his life and that will never change. Bless the men like that, they are true treasures to find.

Does anyone remember Sunday morning, “Wonderama”? I have some vague memories of that. And Soupy Sales. My brother & I would try to do the “Soupy Shuffle” dance.

“Hey Alan, I’m going to invite this guy Gunther over. He loves graph paper patterns. Maybe he can hook you up in vests.”

Oh baby but this is fun, it’s gonna be a growing experience for both characters that people in this forum love to criticize! I like it !

Drop that face Bernice – watching a stupid movie is the lightest you can get away with, especially after Luann has done (and is still doing) all the heavy lifting!

I think it’s obvious that Bernice is NOT studying to be a child psychologist.

I like children…. even those not mine.

I’m not sure that Piro is into either of them in a romantic way. But he sure needs their friendship. Hope his mom’s condition isn’t too serious.

Get used to it, Bernice. You want Piro, he comes with “baggage.”

And that “baggage” is sitting on the couch with you right now.

Another thing that occured to me regarding Bernice — she doesn’t seem like she likes little kids. I wonder if she will ever have kids of her own?

Serves that self-serving Bernice right. She needs a kid break! She isn’t doing a thing to help with the kids, or at least wasn’t until she opened her big mouth.

So far you’re striking out Bernice, no one wants to snuggle with an encyclopedia.

Honestly, Bernice is more messed up than Luann. She really should focus on becoming a lawyer because she will be a disaster as a therapist. I can see her misdiagnosing people all over the place based on her own issues.

A kid break; from doing what?

If Bernice is going to get serious with Piro,“kid breaks” are out!!Or Maybe Bernice will pay for boarding school for the wh ole crowd.
