Yup

absolutely amazing disconnect since obama has played more golf in less than three years than bush played in eight. oh and we are still in iraq, afghanistan, libya, etc.

Golf? Best u can do? Wtf? Tax cuts have left us in the muck. Figure it out. Ten years of bush tax cuts and here we are, can u just ADD TWO PLUS TWO.?
timgilley almost 12 years ago
Obama deficits for a month are higher than Bush deficits for a year. Tax cuts have historically increased revenues, but congress outspends the surplus. Democrat congress from 2006-2010 has the Constitutional responsibiltiy for budget and finance, not the president. BTW super Democrat congress from 2008 to 2010 did not pass a budget ignoring their duties and oath.

“absolutely amazing disconnect since obama has played more golf in less than three years than bush played in eight.”Bush spent most of his time at his ranch stacking hay and other pretend chores for photo ops. The facts show that he spent more vacation than Obama during the same time frame.

Wow.What I learned in Liberal Comics 101 today:1. Pres. Bush created the toxic dust that’s killing our heroes.2. The war on terror was unnecessary, fruitless, and we expected it to be free.3. Said war could have been avoided if we just had a chat with our enemies and smoked a peace pipe with them because the folks that attacked us are, after all, reasonable, moderate-minded individuals that enjoy diplomacy.4. Bush was the one that ended jobs by creatin NAFTA, not Clinton.5. Presidents (whatever party) are not people who try to do their job (success or failure aside) and do not deserve vacations.
So glad to be enlightened.

That’s right, let’s all live in a deranged fantasyland, and blame Bush in perpetuity. Nothing that happens from now on is anyone ELSE’S fault, unless we stupidly elect another Republican president, right? Nothing stupid that Obama is doing (which, by the way, is pretty much the same idiocy that you all hated Bush for) has anything to do with what’s wrong in America today, right? Anyone who thinks that this comic is making a point that is relevant to anything happen in government today is completely deranged. “Change” has essentially been doing all of the rotten things that ’dubya did, and doubling-down on them. Refute that fact if you can.

Yes, the Navy SEAL team “got him” after finally being allowed to use actual intelligence, intelligently.
As to the “golf issue”- “W” said he quit golf because of “issues”, and went to riding a bike and cutting brush in Texas at every opportunity.
“Police action” against the criminal and criminals who attacked us DOES make sense, but open ended “endless war” on “terror” should be aimed more at drunk drivers than foreign nations if we really want to reduce death and damage to the nation.

Just so happens many of those trips to his ranch were to host world leaders. They liked it much better there than washington.

Well geez, Doc, I giss I just misintupurted the hole darned cartoon just like you misinturpurted…I don’t know, reality?
Maybe it’s just differences of interpretation, but the cartoon is obviously making a political statement (1), as this cartoonist frequently does. Let me note that points 2 and 3 are the general consensus among democrats, specifically; if you don’t agree, watch the news and read a paper. Point 4 is not off point; I referenced the cartoon’s mention of unemployment, which took off after NAFTA. Point 5 was my way of taking the general public’s (not so ill-founded) disgust with politicians taking excessive or inopportune vacations and highlighting how silly it is to overly criticize them for it (i.e. pointless).
Butt sins u sed u wusnt guna talk to mee, I giss I’ll jus git back to my farm n have a cow like u did!

Fiction. Give it a rest. Mr. Bors, you have a short memory. The speech was awesome, and I think there is a current sitting president who plays more golf than Mr. Bush did, not that it is bad to do so. You’ve been brainwashed by Michael Moore.

Red Neck? Us? Please. Take Off. You Hoser. Yes, that’s dated, and absolutely appropriate considering how dated your attitude is, DrC. Just FYI, Pierre Trudeau stepped down from Prime Minister decades ago. But The Sabres are stacked to kick Canuck butt again. Face Off is next month, eh?

@DrCanuckThank you for some actual substance in these discussions. As for talking to the “Redneck,” Amen. You can only talk at him.

This is an excellent cartoon Let us not forget that G.W. Bush said that 2001 had been “a great year for me & Laura”.
Bush-Dick was all talk when it came to fruitful accomplishments. His actions were destructive: bankrupting the economy, invading & occupying two nations, slaughtering & maiming thousands of Americans and tens of thousand Iraqis & Afghans.
