Gotta love how many people are screaming “See!!! Premiums went up last year!!!” a) which is not relevant because the act really isn’t in force and b) premiums have been rising above the overall rate of inflation for a couple of decades.

Strange… I looked at my health coverage this morning, and it was still the same.

The only way you have to pay the tax is if you don’t have insurance. BTW, wasn’t aware there was a kenyan in the supreme court.

Colorado insurance went up by the least amount in ten years this year. Yay! And I get a $600 refund because ObamaCare says that my insurance company spent too much on CEO pay. Yay! And in 2014, if my wife happens to lose her job, I’ll have the ability to actually BUY MY OWN INSURANCE! Yay! All I have to do is keep the GOP death party out of power for one more cycle, and even THEY won’t have the nerve to openly advocate going back to 30,000 deaths-by-private-health-insurance a year.

This law originated with the republicans. Every republican since Nixon has tried to get this bill passed. It was drawn up in the Cato Institute, a conservative think tank. The Heritage Foundation has approved of it. Why they wanted it was this; Too many people were going to the emergency rooms, freeloading on taxpayer’s money. That these people were too cheap to by themselves healthcare insurance, expecting the taxpayers will pay. they have been in favor of this mandate up until Obama decided to agree and join with them. They then HAD to change to being against it, because having sworn an oath to un-seat Obama so he would not get a 2nd. turn. Now there are a whole lot of GOP’s who don’t know all this and are feeling like the end off the world was here! There are a whole lot of dems who have no idea also. I expect the big men in the GOP are secretly very happy that it panned out like this.

“I heard all the homeless people are getting jobs to pay for their new free healthcare.”They must have moved to China to get back the job they lost when the job creators decided to fire everyone and outsource.
