Yeah. “DAMN that policeman for not stopping me before I committed the crime. It’s all his fault.”

While severely annoying, Woodward isn’t the problem here.

Oh don’t you fret, now. I’m sure Fearless Orange Leader has his staff working on a plan to whisk away troublesome, disagreeable journalists to a patriotic re-education camp in a nice isolated location. The only real news is what he tells you. /s

A gaggle of writers in the Ministry Of Truth (AKA Fox News) are busily revising the story right now. Big Brother must never be wrong.

There will be a better excuse soon, such as “I didn’t want the Russians to know how ill prepared we were”.

Woodward CAN’T be trusted. He disclosed the SOURCE of his information !

    That’s one I haven’t heard on FOX NEWS . . . yet.

So, instead of Trump going to jail, Woodward will be the rest of his life in jail, convicted of a capital crime: “telling the truth”.

I would bet a doughnut that Fox News insiders were also aware.. and agreed with trump to keep the truth hidden from the public.. and “actively” play along with trump to downplay the hazard. And, even now that the jig is up continue..

OK, so Trump lied to us. But, it is dishonest to say that we didn’t know the Trump plague was a serious problem. The news media was telling us it was, and also telling us that Trump was lying. Woodward could not have told us anything we didn’t already know. The people who believe Trump instead of the “lame stream media” were the only ones who didn’t realize that we were in a lot of trouble in early February. And, I actually doubt that they didn’t know it too. They just demonstrated that they will follow Trump right into their own graves.

Lesley Stahl waited from November 2016 till May 2018 to release the sit down interview in which he says exactly how he plays the press.

I don’t know if he ‘sat on the story’ just to sell books or because he was hoping to get more admissions from Trump’s mouth on tape. Maybe he was concerned that if he released the information early, he’d be denied access and Trump’s many lawyers filing lawsuits, injunctions, etc to prevent the book from being published. As has been said many times in comments above, anyone who paid attention knew that Trump was not only lying about the pandemic situation but that he was going out of his way to disrupt any possibility of a unified response. Having his admission in his own words on tape, in a published book that he willingly participated in producing — that is the critical point. If Woodward had come out early, we might never have been able to have this.
