I don’t recall that he did any of that. Perhaps the new Tappan Zee bridge, which he delightfully renamed after his father and which will most likely be re-renamed, counts as a a major project done during his reign. Otherwise, it was mostly micro-management and arrogant taking credit for the work of others. Oh, and the Buffalo Billions scandal. Ya gotta live here to really appreciate how much better his dad was . . .

Unfortunately, the 94% of Americans who live outside New York often don’t grasp the subtle intricacies of New York politics. Often, we scan the headlines, shrug or give an eyeball, and move on.
