Punish their faults, but please let us recognize their accomplishments. Take Thomas Jefferson as an example.

At least the dems clean house. repugs are just fine having a serial sexual assaulter, rapist and pedophile for their president, as well as many in their caucus still uncensored.

I don’t recall that he did any of that. Perhaps the new Tappan Zee bridge, which he delightfully renamed after his father and which will most likely be re-renamed, counts as a a major project done during his reign. Otherwise, it was mostly micro-management and arrogant taking credit for the work of others. Oh, and the Buffalo Billions scandal. Ya gotta live here to really appreciate how much better his dad was . . .

Yes, the builder of million dollar condos on the stolen land of, Brooklyn’s Long Island College Hospital! And I agree with, Idmulvaney73. You have to live here to know what an arrogant jerk he was and still is!

Unfortunately, the 94% of Americans who live outside New York often don’t grasp the subtle intricacies of New York politics. Often, we scan the headlines, shrug or give an eyeball, and move on.

Time to let this go.
