It seems likely that Taylor Swift (and possibly current boyfriend Travis Kelce) are going to take up arms on social media against the current movement to ban abortion.

When Swift put up a short post on Instagram urging her followers to vote, got a 1200% jump in traffic within the hour.

Her fan base is mostly young people, so old R pundits railing against her would most likely be a boon, not a negative. Even just telling her fans to vote would increase turnout far more for D’s than R’s, simply due to her fan demographics.

Side note, she has more followers on Instagram than there are persons in the USA.

Ok, short, factual, to the point of the toon and I’d say more or less informative. Anyone want to bet on replies to a troll overtaking this post in a few minutes?

They just can’t deal with the fact that young people and most women hate them.

GOP dudes are big mad at Taylor Swift for reminding them that the ladies don’t like them

The pop star’s relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce draws out the incel-adjacent impulses of MAGA men

I’m not so much a fan of hers or Beyonce, but there’s no deny their economic impact. It’s good for the economy, especially local ones.

It also begs the question(s), if things are so bad, how can people afford these tickets? Are they just being purchased on credit, delaying in repayment? Are some who consistently kvetch about how bad things are purchasing these tickets (mathematically, it’s a certainty)? I think the same about sold out football stadiums and our ever increasing gambling culture. I get that people can do whatever they want with their $$$; that’s a great aspect of our system, but is opportunity cost EVER considered any more?

It just go to show that celebrity isn’t related to much of anything that’s easy to measure or explain.

Taylor Swift is the kind of woman Repubs hate the most. Intelligent, talented, self assured, unafraid, and willing to speak out, and lead.

I expect a lot of stupidity directed her way by the MAGAt crowd.

I read that tRump referred to his fraud trial as “a scam”…yes, dummy – that’s exactly what it’s about! YET AGAIN he points the finger at himself. I’m pointing one, too.

I hope young people who are worried about the future realize only one party is actually trying to address their concerns. If they turned their concern into votes, the Democrats would have a big enough majority to actually get something done.
