The Democrats proposed multiple plans, vortex, but the Republicans stamped and held their breath until they turned blue.Option #1: Go to single payer. (They’re trying it in Vermont – nothing like a real test, eh?) Obama’s stated preference, which he never even tried to propose.Option #2: Extend Medicare to everyoneOption #3: Create a nonprofit insurance company (Obama’s proposal, which got stomped by the insurance industry and the so-called “free-market” Republicans and Democrats who feel compelled to protect the insurance industry profit margin)Option #4: Romneycare, the Republican plan to give more money to existing insurance companies, which is what we have now.
I won’t put on the REAL radical leftist notions, e.g., nationalize the health insurance industry, nationalize healthcare entirely like the UK, etc…
“Medicare” must mean steal anything that is not tied down, mortgage anything that is tied down. Then, write hot checks. Same old, same old Democratic plan.
“Single payer” (with retention of PRIVATE doctors, hospitals, and supplemental insurance if you so chose for “elective” procedures) makes far more sense than “fair tax”. The biggest mistake was taking it out, well after eliminating negotiating drug prices in part D, and mandating private insurance for folks who can’t afford it- oh wait, that was the “Republican” part of the plan.

So according to the Dems, we should just go with business as usual? Like that’s going to fix anything?

Keep that destroy Medicare voucher plan alive all the way to 2012. It’s brilliant. Trust me.
