The government shutdown continues apaceBut soon the Tea Party will have to save faceA financial default can never be artyAnd the people now know it’s de fault of de PartyThe people have spoken: blackmail is a crimeA damn dirty shame and a waste of our timeTea Party insanity? Quite clear to seeThey’re all drinking Koolaid, it seems, and not teaAnd now they are trapped, though lacking in thoughtThey’re trying to find a brand-new plot to plotLike Christie, who opted for lap band, not trainerThe Party will blame not themselves, they’ll blame Boehner
Nice poem! And, as Time Magazine pointed out, sometimes it really is just the Republicans at fault, and you shouldn’t pretend that both parties are to blame.
What the heck, the primary function of government has become to entertain and hinder the growth of GDP, now that it’s simply irrelevant we can all get back to ignoring it.

It’s not a show…Instead, it demonstrates what a dangerous level of independence from oversight the elected elitist class has in America.
