Conservatives: The republican establishment has played us social conservatives for years. We're not going to be bamboozled again! ...so we're backing the twice-divorced, formerly pro-abortion, casino magnate... who can't quote a single Bible verse. We're done being treated like fools!

For at least two generations, the Republicans have depended on the Religious Right types to man their campaign offices. They were able to count on them because they convinced the RR types that they believed in the Family Values agenda- anti-gay, anti-abortion, etc. Then, once they were elected they were willing to ignore that agenda, or make it a trade-off for securing the goals of the Rich Folks who were controlling the Republican party. In fact, they rarely mentioned those issues unless they were using them as a bargaining chip—- until the next time they needed volunteers, when it again became their mantra…………………………………………………………………….After at least 40 years, the Religious Right finally figured out that they were being played for fools, and they now are desperately looking for someone who will actually work for them. The problem is that there is no one in either party who will do it. The Democrats actually don’t agree with them, and won’t tell anyone that they do. The Republicans will say they agree totally, then go back to doing whatever the rich guys want done. The question is: Are there more Republicans who will actually vote for a Family Values candidate, or are there more who will vote for the Establishment candidate who will again be in the pocket of the Koch brothers? And, after all these years, have enough Republicans wised up enough to figure out what is going on in their own party and make their choice based on reality instead of lies?
