An infant republic adopted the Greco-Roman idea of militias drawing on a self-armed citizenry as a cheap way to defend its frontiers. That is the Second Amendment, perverted into the blood-soaked travesty it is today.

It’s saddening when someone like Wuerker lies and supposedly intelligent Dem viewers applaud rather than feel anger about being lied to. In what way is their behavior different to that of the GOP dupes whom they despise?

Repeal the 2nd Amendment !

Here’s an idea. A real property tax on firearms. They tax everything else, why not firearms? Every year, you’d get a bill. If you wanted to avoid the tax, bring your weapon(s) to a certified decommissioning site for a credit. Maybe throw in a 24 of Bud to sweeten the deal.

Gun nuts are also ‘’anti-tax’’ nuts. Faced with this conundrum, they’d go bat-sh!t crazy.

The firearms industry is one of the most heavily regulated industries there is. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant or lying. Ask yourself this: When’s the last time you had to pass an FBI background check to buy a cigar?

Background checks on ammo, please.
