But he was ousted because he did take the compromise off-ramp, working with Democrats to keep the government working and to keep the paychecks of gov’t workers and the military coming. As far as far-right Republicans are concerned, no good deed goes unpunished!

Doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to figure out if it takes 15 voting sessions and ridiculous deals with Psychotic Neo-Nazis to become SOTH in the first place, you are set up to fail, and fail spectacularly.

Just hope the next SOTH is better for all retirees instead of just the millionaires.

Being house speaker has gotten to be like herding a bunch of vicious cats. The Freedumb Caucus wants the chaos and division that will destroy our nation. It is impossible to work with them because they are obdurate and greedy.

I’m not clear about something. Even though he is out as speaker mccarthy is still a representative, right?

Every story I see seems to imply that after being removed that his career is done but he didn’t get kicked out of congress just the big chair. Yes?

It would be interesting to see him start working with the Dems now that he’s lost the job he sold his soul for, if only to get even with the crazy caucus.

The Democrats in Congress far out number the crazy caucus. If Kevin had honestly reached across the aisle and worked with them for the good of our nation, he’d still be speaker!
