They knew where the guy was, and when the time was right, they caught him. We now even know that the conservative talking point that “it wasn’t about the anti-Muslim video” was wrong, and that Susan Rice was right all along on the Sunday talk shows. It’s no wonder the conservatives are having a hard time with this. They should invest less time in fake conspiracies, and more time figuring out how they would govern if they were ever given a chance.
And as for Guantanamo, I doubt McCain ever meant that seriously. It was pure partisan sniping. No one’s been sent to Guantanamo for six years, because it was a disaster, every trial there has been a fiasco, and the whole idea is a black mark on our nation’s reputation. We’ve proved that we can successfully try murderers in legitimate courts. If only congress would allow Obama to close Guantanamo once and for all.
Okay, they caught this guy. What next? Gitmo? Civil trial? This administration is like some tourist out deep sea fishing who lands a shark and doesn’t know what to do with it..That also does nothing to explain the administrations (in)actions during and after the event either..You see, normally I’d expect a President to actually do something after catching this guy and have a plan. Not with Obama. He seems to be a month behind current events perpetually.
You expect us to believe a random crowd of people just happened to have a trained mortar crew on hand? Mortar crews need training to be effective. The hardware weighs more than 100 lbs, the ammo is heavy as well. This isn’t something slung over the shoulder on the way out the door. The spontaneous crowd lie isn’t believable.
He’s being brought to legal and appropriate prosecution in the states, as all “Gitmo” prisoners should have been. The “right wing” response to this can’t be described in “clean” language allowable here.

I won’t be happy if he’s caught and then quickly released.
