I no longer follow the NFL, so I’m not sure exactly what’s going on. But something to do with Gruden sending some emails?

When you work in a public sector job that demands a certain amount of tact and diplomacy to ensure profitability, you just have to keep your own opinions to yourself.

That being said, you have to wonder how many future public figures will have their careers ruined because of something stupid they posted online as a kid.

It would have been better if Michael Sam had been the player tackling him.

The days of casual misogyny and homophobia in male dominated workplaces are numbered. Acknowledge and evolve, or sink.

I’m thinking it’s more like Gruden tackling his own team, i.e. messing them up like when a player accidentally does something to give the opposing team(s) the advantage (kind of like one of those “wrong-way” plays I’ve heard about where someone recovered a fumble but was running it the wrong way to their own end zone).

Mandate Joe should mandate no more tackling in football it’s extremely dangerous. Only touch and flags and for goodness sake watch out where you touch.

If we’re going to “woke” people out of jobs, then we should start with Biden, who’s family owned slaves. Wokeness demands all old white men be punished for their ancestor’s “crimes”. And Robert Byrd, the former long serving senator was an imperial poo-bah of the KKK. While we’re at it, we need to remove Clinton’s portrait from the White House as he was a serial abuser even worse than the former NY Governor, Cuomo.

Personally, I believe if Christopher Columbus is living rent -free in your head after he died in the 16th century, you really need therapy. Let it go, people.

What you say can and will be used against you in the court of public opinion. Bye, Gruden. Good luck finding any gig now. You now have 10 foot pole marks all over you. You earned them.

The NFL commissioned a report into the miscogynistic practices reported in the Washington football organization. The report was supposedly so bad that the NFL suppressed a written report, only receiving an oral one so there would be no record. The organization received a fine of several million dollars but no disciplinary actions except the team owner was ordered to step away for a few months. Gruden’s emails were revealed in the course of the investigation.

The problem extends to those to whom Gruden’s emails were addressed but did nothing. Or, did they reply or forward the emails? Even a bigger problem.

Guess who’s got the butt-hurt Sads about the way poor, poor Jon Gruden’s been treated? Why, it’s Don Junior and the Republicans who are having a collective whine-fest over Gruden’s resignation. “Hell, boy, there ain’t nuthin’ wrong with not wantin’ them messkins, blacks, fa&&ots, and wimmin in our Good Ol’ Boys club, nosirree BOB!”

KE actually thinks this is another one-time, dismissive case of “Locker Room Talk”… which explains everything you want to know about a person who indulges in wilful ignorance.

misogyny, bigotry, racism, homophobia… no big deal. After all, “Boys will be boys”, right?

BTW, an amusing factoid of the day. The guy on the (spit!) Raiders helmet is General Moshe Dayan, hero of the Israeli six-day war, and idol of Al Davis.
