I’m sure it’s policy to keep them out of view and prevent them from the free practice and expression of their culture. And I’m sure that some of the folks in the chain of control enjoy their work. But I doubt it’s policy for them to act that way.

These Olympics should have never been granted to Communist China, which is why I am boycotting them this time.

We could always boycott the Olympics. This could have been decided anytime in the last 4 years but evidently the Uyghurs aren’t THAT important.

Let’s face it, the Olympic Committee is corrupt. China got the Olympics because they offered the biggest payoff. The whole Olympic program may be a thing of the past, because few countries can spend the money it takes in infrasture, money better spent elsewhere.

Politics have often mixed with the Olympics. But the whole thing has become too expensive, a huge rip-off to the taxpayers of the host country, and a cash bonanza to the profit-making few. The bloated spectacle exemplified by the bombastic overblown opening and closing ceremonies have overshadowed the athletics. We can choose to watch or not. I’ll take the not.

My question is, just because you’re an athlete , why compromise your principles? There’s a limit to where I would go and China, and Russia are not ones I wouldn’t step foot in! Torture camps are still going strong. Humanely insane

Preemptive strike, strike before it’s too late. Strike first, strike often and strike hard. If Japan, India, Australia, Taiwan, UK and the U.S. can’t bring CCP to it’s kneels we are screwed. The Communist nation will not show us Westerners any mercy.

I find cartoons like this frustrating. What is happening to the Uyghurs is absolutely heinous, but I find it difficult to believe the Ramirez cares. My take is that Ramirez just hates the Chinese government and will take any opportunity to attack them.

This is dead-on. But the Olympics have a long history of ignoring such abuses. Berlin in ’36. Mexico in ’68. The Munich debacle in ’72. Rio clearing the slums (like in Mexico) in 2016. Beijing, Moscow, it just keeps on coming.

What’s a little genocide when there are endorsements to be had?

Human rights just get in the way of capitalism.

Oh boy. Michael, you’re in trouble with Nike, NBA, Coke, Visa, Toyota and the advertisers for the Olympics, which means you are doing your job RIGHT!!! Way to go, buddy.
