another question…can we continue to support the huge population growth in the West? Most of that growth has been south and west during the last half century.

If it hit them in the head, they wouldn’t admit climate change!

The most important problem facing us is the climate. It’s hard to believe that there are people who don’t recognize that there’s a climate crisis. It must take a lot of effort to be so wrong in the face of such compelling evidence. The second problem facing the US is the threat against democracy.

I grew up in a Great Lakes state, and realized decades ago how prudent it is for the surrounding states to have entered the Great Lakes Compact protecting those waters. AND since Canada is a partner and another country, that prevents the U.S. Federal government from just taking Great Lakes water for redistribution to other states by federal decree. Good on ya, guys.

If the Water Plan has less human population growth as its main focus, it will be a complete success. Next to that, green energy to desalinate the oceans better be coming.

These people live in a desert. Stop with the green lawns, golf courses, and Almond farms. They have brought this on themselves. Their arrogance and greed has caused this.

You can’t continually use up the water supply for people to live in the desert and not expect this to happen.
