Records arrested. Records crossing over. Estimated records of those crossing over undetected and or just let through due to not enough border security.
This is moronic. There are no open borders and no one has advocated for open borders (other than FoxNews who talks about it constantly). Immigrants that come into the US disburse to all of the States on their own. You can actually see them if you go to Chicago, Madison, New York, Detroit.
What this “art” represents is the authors bigotry, xenophobia, and racism; primarily his fear that white people will lose traction is America. He actually believes in the Great Replace, meant myth. Sad, really.
Ramirez is demonstrating that “Open Borders”, like “christian compassion”, is something only christian conservatives and their Republicans believe exists.
This looks more like a wish come true to the federal government! If México ever becomes part of the USA, it will be treated like a 2nd class state just like Puerto Rico… very convenient! Wink Wink!
Pay no attention to those thousands of people you see at Eagle Pass. And don’t look at those busses of refugees arriving in Chicago, New York, and Boston. All is well. Kamala Harris is attacking the refugee problem at its source, you see.
the idiots the live and work in the border politely disagree with the imbeciles that think it’s all made up and the 2 million encuentres (as per the biden administration) are just figments of our imagination…. I guess the 50 migrant in martha’s vineyard were paid actors
It would be instructive to show a map of the gradual growth of the US, since the time of the original thirteen states. When and how did each state enter the union? The map should show the various indigenous peoples and then the various claims made by European countries, and then the date the US took control. It might be instructive to have a footnote discussing the idea of Manifest Destiny. Perhaps a discussion of the many so-called Indian Wars. A little history of how Texas became US territory. Another footnote would include discussion of efforts both before and after the Civil War to annex more territory in Central America. Also Cuba. And what about Puerto Rico? How did that become US territory? And why isn’t it a state? And Hawaii, off there in the Pacific. How did that become a state?
I don’t know why Mr. Ramirez is picking on California here. Of the 2 million border encounters so far this year, only 200,000 were at the California border. Most of those are expelled. We don’t have an open border here (or anywhere for that matter.
The whole open border thing is a sham to rile up the rubes. There are approximately 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the US.
That means out of 330,000,000 Americans, about 3% are unauthorized. Half of those are from Mexico. In California there are about 3 million out of 40 million, or 7.5%. Most of these are young men looking for work and opportunity. That is people who want to work, will work hard and not make trouble. The rest are families and children fleeing horrible conditions and seeking asylum.
To all who are concerned about the numbers of people arriving here: imagine what it would take to make you (yes, you) leave everyone and everything you have and find a way to travel thousands of miles to find a place to live and work (yes! they want to work!) without having to fear for your life. Imagine if your living conditions were that bad.
You are unhappy about a SYMPTOM of a PROBLEM. Ask any doctor whether it is smarter to fix the symptom or the problem. Well, except for Scott Atlas or Rand Paul…I mean real doctors who care about proper patient outcome….
The truth is neither Democrats or Republicans in Congress have the courage to deal with the immigrant reform because there is no perfect solution and working together to find and implement the best of the bad solutions will tick off the masses of both parties. Besides, immigrants make the perfect boogeyman for Republicans to rail against. After all, it is hard to get people excited about moderation, while outrage galvanizes people. This idea that the boarders need to be totally open or totally closed is wrong.

Let’s see, more a record number of people have been apprehended coming into the country. So how is that an open border? Only in the GOP meme mind.
