Carter was right on so many things, but being right doesn’t protect you from the Stupids.

No. But if he did, history (real history for people like you) taught us that Carter was a much better POTUS then he was given credit for. He certainly was a better human being than anyone you ever voted for.

You’re not going to win another Pulitzer with weak work like this, Michael. You steal this from Payne?

Carter’s inflation began back with the OPEC oil embargo which had two primary causes. The US support of Israel and Nixon pulling back from the Breton Woods convention and letting the dollar and price of gold float.

There should be some real issue that the Republicans can attack. They look silly attacking gas prices at the same time that they are dropping, or employment when there aren’t enough people to fill the jobs.

Yes, the markets are up again because things are so bad. HUH!? Some say the recession will be mild. My finance guy says we had a 3 month recession in 2019 and did you notice? I didn’t!

I actually think the comparison is apt. Just not in the snarky way intended. Both Carter and Biden(so far for current POTUS) had major accomplishments. Carter’s brokering of peace between Egypt and Israel is one of the 20th Century’s great accomplishments. His treaty signed with Panama likely prevented war there (I remember all the right wing gnashing of teeth about that one!!!). Biden’s organizing the coalition to stand up to Russia, for now, has prevented a complete breakdown of international norms.

Major problems exist now (by the way judging actions/events WHILE they occur is a fool’s errand) just as they did under Carter, most were thrust upon them. Problems were addressed, not ignored. Even when it was multiple problems occurring simultaneously.

Fascist banks cranked interest rates up to 18% to dump Carter.

Fascist industries are making record profits to dump Biden.

Pres. Carter is another example of a Democratic president left holding the bag after the Republicans made a mess.

Rep Katie Porter destroys inflation myth. Watch her prove that corporate greed’s driving inflation.

Likely, it’s the drugs Ramirez is taking.

Beyond that, better to be mistaken with President Carter than the Orange Traitor.

The early ’70’s to early ’80’s period of “stagflation” spanned the administrations of Nixon through Reagan. JC was one of four presidents who contended with this worldwide economic problem.

The cartoonist merely wishes to tar our current president with economic difficulties experienced during this truly honorable man’s time in office. The control of any president over world economic conditions is limited.

Jimmy Carter is a kind, honorable, intelligent human being. Of course, the conservative magas would denigrate him. They call being kind, honorable, and intelligent weak.

Nice ‘toon, Mike, although at this point I’d say that Biden is far worse than Carter. Jimmy is no doubt smiling because Biden has taken his place as the worst president ever.

Carter tried to lead the way toward renewable energy by having solar panels installed on the White House roof. Reagan was insulted by this and had them removed saying, they were an insult to the Country. Of course Reagan had his political training on Death Valley Days and movies.

Jimmy Carter is recognized worldwide as one of the most upstanding, decent, and honorable Presidents in US history. This was one of the ‘scandals’ fomented by the RWNJs of the time…https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Carter_rabbit_incident

In comparison to Trump, Carter stands as a shining beacon of dignity, strength, integrity, generosity, and decency.
