Yes. As long as there’s somebody removing the hate speech from the free-speech venue.

Yes, and Congress should pass no laws infringing on free speech. However, private party platforms are not required to have full free speech allowance. Further, full free speech requires responsibility for what you say. So, while people like Trump are busy “free-speeching it up”, they should be held accountable for what they say and the outcomes from that free speech.

Unfortunately christian conservatives believe hate, racism, bigotry, lies, misinformation, and bearing false witness is considered the kind of “free speech” they need to get their message out to the normal, decent intelligent people they know are not interested in weighing down their children’s future with such vile rhetoric.

Quite simply, free speech is attacking a person’s ideas, hate speech is attacking the person.

NOT if it is inciting violence and dangerous recruitments!

Musk just reinstated a known NAZI back on Twitter!

He’s a POS a looking to be in the news everyday, like rump!

Rump now wants to rid of the Constitution for his own purpose and be reinstated as president!

He’s not only a traitor, a fascist, he’s seriously mentally ill!

‘Anathema to the soul of our nation’: Donald Trump pilloried for his demand to cancel the Constitution

The White House on Saturday afternoon responded to former President Donald Trump’s demand for the “termination” of the United States Constitution over non-existent “fraud and deception” in American elections, which he continues to claim cost him the presidency in 2020 and that he is expecting Republicans to embrace in his 2024 reelection campaign.

Lying traitor Trump totally abuses free speech.

No.. it’s the “free” speech that allows the “hate” speech. The decorum that existed back when the concept was thought a good idea.. no longer exists. Now, under the guise of free speech.. you are getting “irresponsible” speech.. and the more outrageous/hateful the bigger the audience.

Fine, but no megaphones (or magaphones) and reinstate the fairness doctrine. stick with facts not opinions if in a public forum, or label prominently opinions as such.

I wish what you were saying was true. But in the current political environment the Republicans are only saying Free Speech to cover Hate Speech. They go full on censorship when it comes to using Free Speech to speak truth to power.

I’d seriously like to see some examples of what Ramirez defines (or believes) is ‘hate speech’.

    .

(Leaving aside the parts where Twitter is a private organization and censor anything it likes, within limits. And whether Twitter is in any way responsible for its content.)

For the edification of the far rightwingers here (the rest already know it) freedom entails responsibility for one’s actions. Inciting violent attacks on others and then claiming innocence IS NOT accepting responsibility, “I just talk and he decided on his own to shoot them.”

Liberals hate free speech. It gives the common man the opportunity to express his feelings about the shape of the country and when they realize that there are millions like them, it gives them hope for the future. Dems want you to believe you are the only one with such ideas. Thats why these dopey libs post critical comments about all these conservative comics. We see thru your plan, idiots. Go post your stupid thoughts under liberal comics.

Here’s all you need to know, to understand liberals… “Balenciaga’s controversial holiday campaign featured children posing with teddy bear-shaped handbags that were wearing leather harnesses. The brand also drew backlash over a separate ad for its Spring/Summer ’23 campaign in which documents from a U.S. Supreme Court decision involving federal child porn were allegedly used as a prop”. Now do you get it?
