Flat lying. Well okay, mountainside lying. Show me the FIGURES about what’s happened to the national debt and FIGURES about what’s gotten done in the same period. Then draw vertical lines through the graph showing which party has been in power.

Ramirez seems to only be concerned when Democrats are in control.

Wow, really, there was not debt before. I don’t recall the Democrats holding the nation hostage when the debt limit was raised 3 times while Orange Traitor was defiling the White House. In fact the only ones that hold the nation hostage, violating their oath to the constitution has been the Republican Party. Which is ironic, since it’s the Republicans tax cuts to the wealthy and unfettered spending that have had more to do with raising the debt ceiling than anything else. Shameful, but the Republicans have no soul, and feel no shame from their actions.

Amazing how you always leave out those unfunded tax cuts that the Republican Party rammed through, without Democrat support, back in 2017.

You can always see how heartless people are when they blame the only legislation that helped 98% of Americans, and forget that one that only benefited the top 1%. The tax cuts ultimately cost more than Build Back Better.

If the GOP didn’t give all those tax-free advantages to their rich friends and corporations, we’d be balanced.

It seems the main argument here is that the other side did it first. This is a really childish justification. Those of you with any memory of your own childhood or have kids of your own will recognize it.

The real arguments should be, can we keep spending money like drunken sailors with borrowed money? Will there be a consequence for this? Will it be bad? If so, how soon?

I think @RamirezToons was trying to indicate Build Back Better was just a small part and he’s hidden Trump’s Tax Cuts for Billionaires across the ball.

It’s such a bummer when you got to pay for yesterday’s fun.

The greedy rich basturds cheat the IRS (and by extension the rest of us who do pay their tax liabilities) out of about $600B every year. No wonder the Replocos want to axe the IRS, thus codifying — for their REAL constituency — that wholesale form of larceny . By way comparison, one should point out that the deficit hovers around $1T annually. Here in ultra-hyper-mega GOP controlled Indiana, the legislature wants to deep-six the relatively flat state income tax and replace it a sales tax, the most regressive of tax options.

The only label on the pile is dung is “Build Back Better?”

Not Ronald Reagans massive debt legacy or George W’s huge tax break for rich people or Trump’s checks to EVERYONE as long as his signature was on the paper. Not MX Missile or Star Wars or the ungodly cost of the F-35 boondoggle

Tax dollars for Schools, roads, food, or healthcare is socialism

the right is just as responsible as the left. spending on worthwhile programs is not the problem.it is the tax system . when the middle class is paying the majority of the national revenues and billionaires and billion dollar corporations pay little if any taxes is the problem. the right will continue this practice so those that pay no taxes can continue to fill their campaign coffers.

The words identifying the dung/debt should read “maga” because that is where 25% of all the dung/debt was added. All that alleged winning was certainly expensive, wasn’t it? Seems this cartoonist supports the dung ball rolling backwards over top of good ole’ Uncle Sam (We the People of the USA).

This toon is the clearest argument I can see for increasing taxes, especially on those with a net worth in excess of, say $20 million in today’s dollars.

And, I guess I have to point out the obvious. But this toon also illustrates the crying (really screaming) need to properly fund the IRS. Double duh, folks.

Fine. Carp about the debt. But don’t threaten our ability to pay for what we’ve already spent.
