Personally, I do enjoy many of Mr. Lester’s Mike du Jour cartoons.
That said, many of you are aware that Mike also produces a series of political cartoons in the GoComics page Mike Lester. Recently, Go Comics saw fit to shut off the comments section of (as far as I can tell) only that “political cartoon”. On 17 July, in the last published comments section, Mike protested the move. He stated flatly that if the comments were shut off, he was done. He also posted in here, asking us readers to protest.
On 18 July, his most recent cartoon was still there, but it … and all earlier cartoons in that series … were posted without any comments.
Mike simply could not resist temptation. Today, on 19 July, he posted a new cartoon in that page, one impugning not only the current US President but also the Japanese government as being complicit in some sort of a plot to attack the US, a’ la the attack on Pearl Harbor. No comments were allowed, so there were no refutations of this obvious smear.
Emboldened, on 24 July, he posted another lying cartoon in the _Mike Lester page. Again, no comments allowed. Go Comics has unleashed both him and EVERY political cartoonist to post whatever lies they wish, and has utterly disabled the public from refuting any of it, with a critical election fast approaching, and Trump and his MAGAts seeking every means they can manufacture to spread their political propaganda poison unrefuted.

That is classic censorship.
