I have a āJudyā rule, named for a friend. If I wake up in the night I just get up and pee, rather than waste time trying to determine what woke me up. That way I (generally) get more sleep since I donāt have to think very hard to do it. :-)
Pulling an all nighter used to mean staying up to cram for a test. Now it means sleeping through the night.
I probably could make it if I stopped drinking at a reasonable hour. I keep drinking until my head hits the pillow. I probably drink a quart of water between dinner and bedtime.

The older one gets, the more oneās bladder operates on the ādo it now,ā principle. Sort of like the time change thing but way more frequently.

Itās a sad transition, when waking from a useful āwoodieā led to snuggling, to.. now, trying not to wake your partner as you get up to go.
