Happy Hanukkah Vagabonds
And a special Hanukkah howdy to friend Ayre.
Well, Fall is starting to fall into Winter, I’ve even pulled out my snowman mug till Spring. All of 14 degrees this morning, snow won’t go at these temperatures. The expected high will only make it to 28. Whine.
Quiet day, call the car doc and set up a time to get the snow boots on the Jeep then off to the races, mail, Quick stop then home.
Have a bright and beautiful day and may you have the Joy of the Lord.
The sun finally peaked out between the clouds. Now it’s a balmy 44 degrees. Nice. Yesterday it was 63!!!
We managed to clean off a bunch of shelves. Our San Diego daughter is flying out next week to decorate the house for Christmas. The boys are 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 and will be up here for Christmas. So, they’ve been busy writing letters to Santa telling him where to find them, and which chimney to come down. Fun!
Good morning, Vagabonds.
Happy Hanukkah to everyone, especially Arye if you are seeing this.
Today we are going to find ourselves a new Christmas tree. I have only 2 criteria: colored lights (I’m so tired of only white lights) and a top branch sturdy enough to hold up a nice tree topper. We’ve never had a artificial tree that could hold up any of the pretty toppers we have. I am determined!
Other than that, it’s another laid back Monday. The door is open for the cats and they are staying either just inside or very close because the gardeners are here with their lawn mowers and leaf blowers. The trash guys will be here soon, too and that will drive both cats inside very quickly. Mondays aren’t the best days for our feline friends, at least not in their opinion.
I’ve been writing those “Letters to My Son”, and some of them are hard! I’ve gotten 9 of the 12 letters done and am really touching the bottom of my soul to find the words I want to say.
We got up to 71 yesterday and are looking for 73 today. It’s a beautiful sunny day.
Everyone have a safe and blessed day.
Our tree topper is a little plastic angle that has topped our tree for as long as I can remember and she’s lite enough to top any tree.
Good late afternoon, Vagabonds.
It has been a long day. We went to the funeral of a wonderful woman. She is now embracing her husband and walking streets of gold with him. At least it was a beautiful day for the service. Our low was 39 and our high was 64. And it was sunny.
Everyone have a blessed evening.
