    Happy Independence Day Vagabonds

We are expecting a really good day, it started out cool around 50 degrees and fair. A partly cloudy day with a high of 74. (^.^)

There are fireworks displays tonight but I think I’ll just stay home and watch “A Capital Forth”.

No mail today but there’s still the Quick Stop. (^.^)

Y’all have a bang up 4th and may God bles you and our nation.

    Happy Independence Day Vagabonds.

You know we’ll just have to watch that movie today.

    Laundry today. Nuff said.

Mike’s coming over later for those BBQ ribs and corn on the cob. He’s bringing salad and dessert to go with it. I doubt we’ll watch any fireworks, mostly because we can’t see any from where we live (other than the illegal skyrockets, of course). I got burned out on big fireworks displays when I was in my teens from living so close to the daily displays from Disneyland. They don’t impress me all that much any more.

Yesterday I pursued a “red curb project”. We seemed to have an excessive amount of curbs painted red in this community, so I took it upon myself to look up the Nevada rules and then marked up a site map with all of the existing red curbs. I also measured the width of our streets because that is what determines what must be red. Turns out that there is only one area that could possibly revert to no red paint and several that should be red and aren’t. Our streets are 1 foot too narrow to eliminate them altogether. The determining factor is the clearance for a fire truck.

Our forecast is for 99 and it’s only 86 on the patio. That made it about 10 degrees cooler than usual for my walk this morning.

Everyone have a wonderful 4th. Stay safe and God bless you all.

BBQ ribs are a must for tonight’s dinner. yum! and, if it doesn’t rain, we’ll be able to sit out and watch all the hundreds of displays down in the valley.
