Happy 5th of July Vagabonds (^.^)

After the beautiful long weekend this morning is kinda dreary and no direct sunshine. The thermometer was registering 57 when I first peered at it. The best part is no rain at the moment. Today they say showers and 70. Time to pay the piper for the great weekend.

David, keep the AC cranked up our weather guy was showing the temperature map of the US, 102 in Big D. Take care David.

I see by the news that there was a different type of light show on display in Colorado, they were using lighted drones to make images in the sky. Verdy interestinc. (^.^)

“A Capital Forth” was good last night, the best part, after the fireworks was over all I had to do was walk to my room, no driving.

May you all have a wonerful day with God to keep you company.

    Morning, Village!

Yep. Hit 100 yesterday and probably do the same today. No rain since Thursday.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I found several broken sprinkler heads (it’s a drip system, so they are “emitters”) while out for a walk this morning. I flagged them and let one of the gardeners know about them. I did remember to warn him that they need to turn the water back on to find them. The flags were still there when I got home from prayer group, so we’ll see.

Prayer group was awesome as usual. Not much else going on today, though. Another walk at dusk and I’m good to go. I’ve been averaging about 4500 steps per day. I’m not sure what the goal should be so I’ll stick to the new routine until told otherwise.

The BBQ ribs were great. I had purchased a rack of Lloyd’s and cut it in half. I wrapped each half in heavy duty foil and then froze them for future use. I cooked both halves yesterday and we managed to finish them all. Now all I have to do is go buy another rack & do the same thing. Mike brought a Boston cream cake for dessert. Yummy! We didn’t go out to see any fireworks, but you could sure hear them! It tapered off around 10 – 10:30 and then was mostly quiet for the rest of the night. Someone told me this morning that some areas were still going strong at 2 AM!

Instead of watching “Independence Day” yesterday, we watched “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Both Mike & Michael said what a great movie that was and I was sitting there thinking “It’s a guy thing.”. Oh well, I get to pick next time.

Everyone have a safe & blessed day.
