That’s a good sized capacitor or resistor on the desk..

I guess perhaps they were breadboarding the circuits with discrete components as a teaching tool as opposed to using off the shelf IC components. Looks like a breadboard on the table. So in that case, the capacitor or resistor would be about the right size.

Hmm. Another perplexing one for me today.

Is this series of panels today meant to be humorous ? To me it instead reads rather realistically and a bit philosophically . The last panel where Nancy admits the beauty of the real world has real, inherent value over the “electronic ethos” of that gaming world seems a pretty astute observation to me.

But then again, I am truthfully so far removed from the gaming world (remember yesterday, I mentioned the bulk of my experience has been with Pong and a little bit of actual arcade play of Tron and Tempest back in the early days) it is likely I am not quite getting something here. So, again, explanation is appreciated and hoped for.

There was a time when people actually carried on conversations, even strangers. Today, go to a doctors office, licence bureau, or wherever you wait with others, and nobody talks—-they’ve all got their head buried in an electronic device.

So, is it isolation vs human interaction ?

Look at this way, Nancy. It’s like having a video game live.
