@astute panther: I think the missing final panel is the joke. But then, all the posters told me how stupid I was yesterday, when I objected to the brattification of Nancy, so I’m probably wrong. And furthermore
The thing about this is that, from a strictly practical perspective, Nancy is right. I tend to be a fairly pragmatic person myself, so I can sympathize with the resentment she feels about having to “jump through all the hoops” when it’s not really necessary to the task at hand.
That said, I think her teacher (who I believe is still unnamed, feel free to correct me) is right to stand on principle in this case, for two reasons. First, this competition is more about teamwork than winning, and being part of a team means you have to be reliable, a fact which Nancy is failing to grasp. Second, Nancy has a disposition that tends to punish accommodation: if you start bending the rules for her, she’ll take it as an invitation to walk all over you and I suspect Teach knows this.

I wonder why some can’t see the fourth panel? I’ll just quote it here so you’ll know what she said….
NANCY— “I shouldn’t have to jump through all the hoops when it’s not really necessary to the task at hand!”
No, wait… That’s what zorak950 said. Perhaps Z is channeling Nancy?
