Then other senators read Mrs. King’s letter. Mitch just proved himself disingenuous.

Apparently, the 1st Amendment doesn’t apply in the U.S. Senate. The nerve of those Democrats, thinking they have the right to free speech.

From the Senate floor Cruz calls Mitch a liar so Mitch finally responds by censuring Liz.

I can’t believe she brought up the past when trying to investigate if a candidate is worth being a cabinet member. If what she said was so bad – they just couldn’t allow her to go on – why should he be allowed to be in the White House cabinet? Why allow men to read what they made her stop reading? Why do they have to use a rule for fist-fighting against a woman who has questions about a letter from Coretta Scott King?

Mitch McConnell should be impeached. Senator Warren should have a right to speak up on relevant issues regarding nominees for a cabinet position.

As applied, Rule XIX clearly conflicts with the Senate’s duty to advise and consent. It makes no sense that a senator, no matter how rancid, cannot be “impugned” in senate debate over that senator’s elevation to a cabinet position.

The Turner and Hogue case stains Sessions’ reputation, and likely caused him to lose out on a federal judgeship in 1986.

McConnell has yet to demonstrate that he has an ethical backbone! His action against Sen. Warren is just the latest in a series of craven acts!
