I often wonder how much of our “written” ancient history was actually written as subtle humor but we have no other reference so we take it as true history.

I really like Danae’s version of the story. Total surprise.

Some teachers would see Danae as a disruptive element [a convenient generic description of children we don’t understand]. I found students like her were truly interesting and added a lot of life to my classrooms. Challenging? Yes! At times. But never dull.

A couple of different vowels can replace the “i” which are much more descriptive of the Hannity Channel.

Where are the little baskets, with the cellophane straw?

And this is just as reasonable as the story of Jesus and Easter, maybe more reasonable.

Remember boys and girls … always eat the ears of your chocolate rabbit first! Or you may end up living in Florida, you don’t want that, do you?

The Catholic Church co-opted the spring fertility rites of the pagans as they spread north into Europe. Instead of Druids and maidens dancing around the Maypole we get bunnies with fancy eggs?1 I think I want to go back to being a Heathen, they had more fun.

Until I got down to the panel with the statue head in view, I wondered why a bunny was jumping on a red velvet cake, and who had set it on a mesa…and why.
