This is what the GOP wanted the Jan. 6 commission to look like. That’s why they selected people who denied the 2020 election was stolen to be in it (whom were rejected of course). They just wanted to gum-up the works with and delay the process.

Until tRump came to office I really did not care if Repubs or Demos were in power. Now that he has been and now that I have seen what he does and how he lies, and all the deceit and falsehoods given by his fellow pubs in desperation to keep him in office and to deny the existence of the insurrection, I have a preference now. I’m sure you can guess what it is.

The lawyers tend to pick people that will vote the way that specific lawyer wants the outcome. It is more of a , who can convince the jury best

This reminds me of the Mad Magazine parody of “Planet of the Apes”. The courtroom scene where Heston demanded to be tried by a jury of his peers. And one of the gorilla guards complains: “Be reasonable. Where are we going to find twelve billionaire actors who speak in a monotone?”

As long as our current Judicial System actively promotes the integration of Church and State it is our duty and responsibility to point out how much that violates the original intent of the Founding Fathers.

Don’t try to pack the Court! Instead Impeach the last three Supreme Court Justices for lying to Congress in regard to their respect for Precedence.

Not a bad idea really. Let’s have a court contest. State vs State and Federal vs Federal. Least guilty verdicts wins.

Looks like the Forman of the Jury is not only a peer, but a close relative. The defendant looks happy, as he should be, because he has gotten away with his crime.

Some people consider ignorance a virtue. The more ignorant they are the more virtuous they think they are. It’s dangerous to all of us when they become the majority and at the levers of power. SCOTUS ?

peeps references friends and like minded individuals (also candy that looks like baby chicks). Looked it up. So if tHump gets indicted I guess he is hoping for his jan 6 accolades to make it on the jury. Like watching a really bad western like destry rides again. Anyway, Wiley is brilliant again. just please be careful. Fascists and Authorities when they take power, the first thing to go are the Comedians, Cartoonists and voices of reason. side request. I use to call the toilet the john. Now I tell people I am going to use the tRump. Seems appropriate and I hope everyone starts to use that. Rightful place in history.

The original phrase was “A jury of peers” – as in the English peerage. The idea was to keep the monarch from having arbitrary power over the nobles (“peers”); they would have to b e tried by other peers rather than by royal fiat.

It did not, of course, give their vassals the same right.

No matter what everybodys opinion is, no matter who thinks what politician s*cks and wants to slap them silly, I thank GOD I live in a country where we can commiserate like this (….. at least until they repeal the 1st amendment)
