Soon followed by the boat of multi-linguists (Stroke! Hiku! Vite! Schnell! Ganbare!!!)

Spanky once referred to that guy as “the coaxer.”

The one syllable synonyms work the best.

I think they’re waiting for him to finish – he’s probably got his English tutorial class in the boat with him.

I’m thinking they would be winning if they actually rowed every time he spoke. But, well you know, “English majors”. Am I right?

I love how cartoonists (and most filmmakers) have absolutely no clue about rowing. At least he got the name of the competition (regatta) correct.
