If you’re sleeping with a horse, there are probably worse things than bedbugs in your bed. Just saying.

To ‘sleep tight’ is to sleep well and undisturbed.

I have six grandkids. I’m always temped to tell them the monsters under the bed will eat them if they get up in the middle of the night

Good thing I’m not a parent. I’d tell them that the monster is why I chose my bedroom, and to kindly keep it out of there.

I think I remember using monster spray under the bed for a while when my daughter was young.

Boy, is that kid spoiled. Her daddy not only got her a pony but she gets to sleep with it. And a cel phone? I didn’t have a cel phone at that age… Of course, when I was that age the phone was firmly mounted on the wall and it had a cord.

The monster under our bed was chewing on a (nyla)bone last night about 2 am. I forgot to give her her sleepy pill.

Knowing Danae, she will make an alliance with whatever is under the bed. Look out, Dad.

Under the bed and closet cams monitored on her phone?

Never worried about the monsters under the bed, it was the closet that they were in. If I went to sleep and the closet door was cracked even 1/2 an inch, I had to work up my courage to dash out of bed and slam it shut. I also had to be completely covered from neck to toes with sheets and blankets or they could grab me.

If you’d kept the closet door shut, the monsters wouldn’t have been able to crawl under the bed, Danae. Always works for me . . .

Bedbugs are indeed a real thing. And they’re hard as heck to get rid of them. You can get them just by having someone who has them sit on a chair or sofa in your house.

And why did the word for removing louse eggs from one’s body become a synonym for paying too much attention to unimportant detail? ….unless you really, really like lice

Not bedbugs. DC lobbyists. Still in the vermin family.

Easy fix…bed on the floor, no space for monsters or grabby hands reaching out for your legs. ;-)

Perhaps, the monsters are attracted to the dirty dishes on your hope chest at the end of your bed Danae?

There was a comments some years (?) ago in Non Sequitur from Danae’s dad – “No, they all crawled out years ago and went into banking. Now go to sleep”. Don’t think Wiley had much time for bankers …

I never had monsters under my bed. They stayed in the closet where there was more room. I did raise dust bunnies under the bed though.

They are really invisible, but you can sometimes hear them in a quiet moment…

Really Dad? That seemed a bit dumb.

when i was a kid and i got up in the middle of the night i tended to have the feeling like something was grabbing my feet! couldn’t have been the monsters under the bed, probably just poor circulation and the blood moving to my lower extremities. there was that one time i woke up under the bed though …
