The parachute is still the original. Nobody has managed to grab it yet. There’s your adrenaline….. all over the valley floor.

The enlightenment part is when they realize that the back of each cave connects to an elevator that connects to the condominium complex where the gurus all live.

Apparently the Buddha remarked “Before enlightenment, draw water, chop wood; after enlightenment, draw water, chop wood.” No mention of jumping through hoops, walking tightropes, negotiating WILEY BEARS (WOOHOO) and so forth. Nirvana, as far as I can understand it, comes of its own accord; much like grace, which can only be given by God.

Do you want enlightenment? Look back, then ask, “Why did fate (or God, if you prefer) put me through that experience.” Sometimes it takes me decades to come up with an answer. Sometimes I come up with multiple answers.

Survived in their bodies? Maybe not, but consciousness is eternal so it doesn’t matter. Enlightened while in the body is another whole subject. The Nirvana Theme Park sounds like a lucrative idea. Maybe for a New Age hotspot like Sedona?

Actually, if they want “enlightenment” all they really need to do is walk over and “thump” the bear’s head after “step I”… they’ll be “enlightened” really, really fast.
