We just had our “snow storm” yesterday. I only got sleet and freezing rain where I live. But there were snowmen about an hour away.

It went below freezing here on the night of January 1. It has remained below freezing ever since. The forecast callsl for a brief lift into the lower 30’s for three or four hours on the 17th, then back down below freezing for the rest of the month. In other words, southern lower Michigan is going to do a pretty good imitation of this strip!

Not so sure a January thaw is gonna happen this year. I’ve seen predictions of cold weather with temps staying under freezing for the next 10 days or so, and we’re two blocks south of lake Erie. We are getting our share of lake effect snow right now, though…about 5" last night. I think Mother Nature’s whiteness going to stick around for a while. I can hear the snow plows outside right now clearing the streets. Any who are wanting to experience what it’s like to are have such snow underfoot are invited over to my place….I’m sure there’s a few snowmen on my front lawn just ready to be made! :0)

We may or may not have a January thaw this year. It’s supposed to be a long, cold winter.

I bet LA would love weather like Southeastern Oklahoma and Central Arkansas have now.

Friends in Lake Tahoe CA area are sending comparison pictures of snow this year and a years before. Not near what is usual. It is warm enough in daytime that the bears aren’t hibernating.

Still waiting for our January Thaw here. About 2-3 inches of snow fell Friday, and we’re still digging our way out. Ugh.

    Good Evening, Crew.
