I have a CD of bagpipe music that I play in the car when the idjit next to me is playing rap music. Bagpipes will always cut across hip hop and take large charge of the airwaves, leading to some confused looks.

I guess the name of the band will be" the odd squad" that’s what is on Verne’s book.

Is RJ pulling a fast one, or does he not realize that turtles don’t have hair?

Tirebiter,I like your tactical response to them. When I was in college 1977 I had some “cowboys” down the way who blasted honketonk music all day and night. I use to put on my headphones and just tune it out. It got so where I could hear it over my headphones.I fixed them. I had a Garrard Zero 100 belt turntable, Pioneer 200watt Amp, Sansui Speakers, with equalizer. Every time they started I would put on 2112 by Rush. The Overture. They would hear “And the Meek shall Inherit the Earth” normal volume leading into the “Temples of Cyrix”. Now I would go up to “KILL” volume setting. Would shake the walls it was so strong. Soon they got the point too.I would like to Verne do his music. So talented bagpipes and lute at one time. That has got to be over the top talent.

Bruno Zeigerts: I know some British Airborne who suddenly loved bagpipes. Their orders were to take a bridge on D-Day and hold until relieved. Hearing the rattle of German tanks, they suddenly heard Grey Goose on the pipes -Lovett had relieved at literally the last few minutes.

I just realized the background critters that sometimes appear in the strip (like the mouse riding on Hammy’s head) remind me of the ones who used to show up in a similar manner in Walt Kelly’s “Pogo.”

My hubby kept saying he wanted a set of bagpipes and that he’d play the chanter pipes to practice. I kept telling him “No Way!”

    Q. How can you tell if a bagpipe is out of tune? A. Someone is blowing into it.

Well. Those names were … random.

Gave me a good laugh, though.
