Pat Oliphant for August 28, 2012
Transcript:
And here they are, folks -- the Empty Suit Duo, Romney and Ryan! Or is it Ryan and Romney...? You know, Mr. Ryan. We could make it big in comedy. If we weren't so scary, Mr. Romney. A Sheldon Adelson Production Vaudeville ain't dead -- it went into politics!

Scarier still is Ryan and Rand!!!

Were they JUST empty suits, it wouldn’t be so bad. It’s what they’re “full of” that will damage the country. Maybe it could be called “eutrophic”.

The convention is a Dog-and-Pony Show. But the dog is strapped to the top of the car, and the pony hopped a flight to London.
jimbo, this cartoon just appeared a short time before your comment. And Oliphant’s posted 8 cartoons in the last 15 days, so I’m not sure what “absence” you mean…

When a corrupt casino operator (and briber of Chinese government officials) decides to put on a show, this is what you get. (By the way, vaudeville had more class.)

If anyone is going to be accused of being “empty suits”, it would be the other guys. The Republicans have two smart high achieving men, and the Dems have an amateur and a buffoon. Whether one agrees with all the policies of either side is another matter.

“Romney and Ryan! Or is it Ryan and Romney…?”
Traditionally, the stuffed-shirt Straight Man gets first billing, and the laughable whack-job follows.

those 2 are crazy and scary. They hate the us government. there have been more terrorist incidents involving “patriots” than any other group since 9-11 and maybe before.

Nope, no money was put into o’s campaign when he won. Not a dime.

How much did you know before o took office? Nothing, and you still haven’t been told.

Well, so much for diversity. Ron Paul’s Maine delegates were taken away from him to help present a unified front, but Romney still wound up with over 200 votes against him, more than anyone since Ford.

“Scarier still is Ryan and Rand!!!”? #Would Lenin (no, not John!) and Stalin be better? For some folks that IS what they would want. And, no, I’m NOT referring to Obama and Biden. Those are just two more empty suits!
walruscarver2000 almost 11 years ago
But weren’t you paying attention? The “liberal media” is not allowed to ask about Romney’s business dealing, or his religion, or his specific programs for the future, or his money, or his taxes, or his record as governor of Mass. But he’s the man we should blindly trust our future to.

“… Jon Stewart will make a stink throughout the country that will have everybody running for the borders!”-—————————————————————-Go North, Young Man! Go North!South of the Border (down Mexico way), I’m enjoying a bit of distinction as a “gringo” retiree. I don’t want the competition!

There are many empty suits in DC but the voter takes the cake in the empty suit department …they witnessedthe start of a unfinanace Medicare Drug Program and two wars begaining 2003 which went unfinanced untill months into Obama Administration. All this under President Bush who never vetoed a single spending bill during his entire presidency.
Obama who has yet to prosecute a single person for the financial crisis… yes there are many umpty suits…

Romney is the worst flip-flopper of all time, and there’s lots of video and print to prove it. No one really knows where he stands, because he says whatever it takes to get elected in whatever race he’s running in. Ryan is one of those religiously-sick people we need to keep out of national office.
