He has the hands and face of a clock. Very cute today. Love his smile in the last panel.

Irish comedian Dave Allen did a skit where an adult desperately tries to tell a very young person how to tell time on an analog watch. I thought it was hilarious. “Now the watch has three hands … and the second hand tells you the minutes. Yes, I know minute means small. Yes, I know it’s spelled the same. Well the smallest hand is the second hand. No, the second hand is the minute hand and the smallest hand is the second hand …”

The zig-zag is homage to George Herriman and his “Krazy Kat” which featured this design in many strips: on Navaho-inspired rugs and pots, as lightning and even trees and often as the shape that “Krazy’s” and “Ignatz’s” tails assumed when struck by “bricks” of other missiles.

I saw a pen that will draw 3-D objects! This should be quite a boon for artists.

In the last panel it almost looks as if Charlie Brown is saying, “Hey, look at my cool shirt!”

I’ve been watching for the first appearance of the zig-zag shirt, but I didn’t notice it until today, 4/3. Oh well…

The first time we see the zig zag shirt. This was on December 21, 1950. The same color shirt without the zig zag he’s been wearing for about a week now (not counting a winter coat) The last shirt of a different color was when he wore red. Is the orange zig zag shirt here to stay now?
