It is a DIFFERENT stick. Note the enlarged end of the handle. That is a plastic piece that fits on the end, that wasn’t there in Charlie Brown’s stick.
Note that otherwise, we are probably talking 20+ rolls of tape applied to the stick. I doubt Lucy’s father had that much “black” tape.

When I was a kid in Maine, back in the 50s, most of the other kids’ hockey sticks looked like that.
