Hey, I remember when, right after 9/11, Rudy Giuliani was called “America’s Mayor” over his oversight in dealing with the catastrophic events of New York City. He seems to have tarnished his reputation when he fell in with the wrong crowd. And boozing.
I don’t see a date on this, but that’s an interesting thing for Charlie Brown to say since so many cities and states are electing their first female mayor or governor these days.

Felisa Rincon de Gautier was the first elected female mayor of a city in the United States. She became mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico in the fifties.
