Snoopy walks along and angrily thinks, "Rats! What a life!"<BR><BR> Snoopy notices Charlie and Shermy who are playing around with a beach ball. Snoopy thinks, "Look at all the fun those kids are having!"<BR><BR> Snoopy watches while Charlie plays in the pool with Shermy. Snoopy complais, "Dogs never get to do anything!"<BR><BR> Snoopy follows Lucy, who is eating ice cream. Snoopy thinks, !"I can't even buy my own ice cream cone!"<BR><BR> While Lucy sits to eat her ice cream cone, Snoopy begins to beg and thinks, "I'm lucky if I get the last bite of someone's else's."<BR><BR> Alone, Snoopy moans, "Rats! What a life! Still.. maybe I'm loookin at it all wrong.."<BR><BR> Snoopy uses his paw to scratch his ear and thinks, "I suppose we all can't be people.. I suppose some of us have to be dogs."<BR><BR> Snoopy thinks, "The only trouble is, I don't ever remember volunteering.""<BR><BR>

Considering that no one seems to hear him, these are either still intended as thought balloons or he’s speaking in Dog.
Wonder if the lack of fun and excitement in his life is what led him into his fantasies (WWI flying ace, Joe Cool, etc.)
