    The Great Pumpkin is number three at best. Let’s not forget the Easter Bunny.

    Wasn’t Avis Rent-A-Car’s slogan at the time, “We’re number 2 so we try harder?” or something like that?

    Would you believe that there is a parent group that wants to “ban” “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” because of all the bullying in it, even from adults? Don’t these groups have anything better to do? (Personally, I’ll be watching the DVD with my daughters probably later this week.)

    Awwwww… Lucy would probably say that it’s weird.

    Or insane, absurd, stupid, childish, horrendous… Take your pick.

    LOL xxx

    “Not again, writing a letter to a stupid pumpkin? You make me the laughing stock of the neighboorhood! You cut it out right now or I’ll pound you!”

    Politically Correct extremists are dedicated to taking all the human out of being human…Peanuts is a classic and masterful insight into humans being human. PC strives to make perfect that which is imperfect, and thus human. People, it’s not possible to ban every objectionable act or pattern of behavior, and it’s not possible to make laws against ever offensive or abusive act or pattern of behavior…Is the goal to make everyone so paranoid and programmed that they live their lives like ‘robots?’I’m over 60 years old and I’ve seen a lot…I don’t know exactly where or when the insidious culteral cancer of Political Correctness was spawned, but it has caused far more harm than it has ever prevented…I hate bullying, but Lucy is just being a little kid…these are fictional representations of little kids being kids…we don’t need to psychoanalyze the comic strip…we should just get a laugh out of it, as it was intended…R.I.P. Charlie Schultz…

    That anyone would attempt to ban the work of Charles Schulz is just ridiculous. But if you want to look at it another way, he is in good company: Mark Twain, Dr. Seuss, S. E. Hinton, Jack London, etc.

    @Cookies333

    Wish I was 11 again… Wasn’t the best year of my life as I had only started the secondary school and was so scared.

    But after a few weeks… I got used to it. The teachers were lovely and helpful and made you feel at ease.. Well my form teacher anyway.

    Have a brilliant weekend!

    Actually, Debbie, St. Valentine was a real person. You probably mean Cupid.
