Dancing cheek to cheek is fun Patty but learning cheeks to cheeks is a whole other matter!

A mood ring is a finger ring that contains a thermochromic element, or “mood stone”, that changes colors based on the temperature of the finger of the wearer.

So does Chuck have to buy Peppermint Patty a new mood ring after that little incident over a big problem?

Patty’s relationship with Charlie Brown has always been a bit fraught. On and off for years she’d have a desperate crush on him (competing with the little red-headed girl and even Marcie), and would get angry — as she does here — when things didn’t go exactly as she wanted. She was initially thrilled to be sharing a desk with him … they were a couple, sort of. But that went sideways, and now she’s frustrated and angry at Chuck and herself without being able to define why. The result is an exploded mood ring.

I used to borrow my mother’s mood ring to play Green Lantern.

Replace Peppermint Patty’s mood ring with a Rubik’s Cube. Solving that should rivet her attention and maybe calm here down. (The cubes were big at about that time I believe.)

Chuck isn’t thrilled with you right now, either.

I think that’s a sign to just go home and sleep.

Next time you try to insinuate something romantic to Charlie Brown, I’ll remind you of the ring incident.

If it was an Apple Watch, it would have exploded too. Too bad Apple doesn’t make an iRing for fingers.

PP is learning the other side to having a love affair. The adoration phase may be fine, but the getting along with them phase is another matter.

I remember the old mood rings… gave one to my mom.

I think she still has it too.

I don’t know how longer Chuck can take sitting with Peppermint Patty anymore.

PP has the hot hand right now.

Mood rings were a fun fad. I never had one, but it was a fun idea.

I actually remember those!

Patty is acting ridiculous.

This all started because PP has to share, she must not like sharing.

Schulz is telling a story of marriage, possibly his own… He divorced in 1972, this arc is from 1976.

I have quartz stones. They supposedly absorb bad energy. I have broken three so far. At least Patty admits it’s not nice to feel that way.

I have warm hands. My mood ring was always indigo, no matter my mood.

I used to have a t-shirt that changed color with body temperature. Probably toxic. Was fun!

It was the seventies. We had pet rocks, and pet rocks for your finger.
