That would be my guess, I guess.

Why haven’t we seen him? He must be an adult.

At my sleepaway camp, it was called the infirmary.

Well she certainly did dispense with him.

You’ve hospitalized him, Marcie?

It’s hard to believe, but with this arc, Marcie is about the most violent kid amonst all of the Peanuts gang. She even beats out Lucy for shear cruelty.

Marcie, you keep doing this, you’ll get kicked out of camp.

Is a dispensary like a hospital tent?

“You know why he does that to people?”“Why?”“Because he gets away with it.”

I’ve never liked Marcie more. :)

By now he should have gotten the hint that not only she doesn’t like him, but she’s dangerous, too.

Well, his mood will improve then! (that word has taken on a world of new connotation in the intervening years)

Kids. She just needs to admit she likes him, and move on from there.

That is the best way to make a bully stop. You can reason with them all you want, have an adult talk to them, but until you stand up to them, they will not stop. A bully had bothered me for several years in elementary school and did not stop because in those days the principal would say, “Work it out amongst yourselves.” I finally turned and beat him up. Broke his nose, a leg and several teeth. He and his gang never bothered me again. It was worth the four years of karate and the two weeks suspension.

Not such a great arc this week. Though it may jokes about bullying aren’t so amusing nowadays, if they ever were.

A search of “dispensary” now brings up weed shops. How times have changed

Marcie and Peppermint Patty are my favorite female Peanuts characters. Perhaps the former should have taught Lucy a lesson about bullying!
