I remember babysitting my nephew when I was nine years old, he was about two months old, my parents and my sister and her husband went out to eat, changing diapers with those big pins scared the dickens out of me but I did it. I’m talking 1963, now they would be arrested and I would be in a foster home. But guess what, I turned out fine, I’m rich, successful have my own happy family, (including grandkids) how times have changed.
Alas, Snoopy and I had some of the same girl experiences. Try to be useful, friendly, protecting, but it’s not enough. There’s always something wrong with you. I guess Snoopy should’ve come in with full body armor, shield and sword. Gladiatordog.

Getting mugged also counts as a penalty, Peppermint Patty, so it’d be 4 on 4 hockey instead.

Always found this a strange arc, that a parent would leave such a small child alone for days or even a night.

Peppermint Patty could use a watchdog or babysitter. She clearly can’t take care of herself. I can’t believe her father would leave her like that.

Maybe the baseball bat would be better Snoopy. No penalty box.

They don’t call him “SlapShot” for nothing.

I was today old when I figured out Peppermint Patty lives with just her Dad. And that kind of explains some stuff.

Parents are always notoriously delinquent in Peanuts.

JIC anyone was unaware, Charles Schultz was a HUGE hockey fan. I’ve been to the museum dedicated to him — there’s a hockey rink attached.

Who’s going to penalize him, and what for?

Snoopy if I was you I would go home and leave Patty by herself

Hadn’t even fought yet and already he’s headed for the penalty box!
