    Referring to panel 5 of the strip, Mr. Pastis sneaked another one in. A piece of string came into a bar and ordered a Martini. The bartender tied him up in knots and threw him out in the street. After being frazzled by being run over, the string limped back into the bar and ordered a Martini. The bartender said, “Aren’t you the string I just threw out?” The string said, “No, I’m a frayed knot.”
